This valuable collection of Catholic Americana, numbering approximately 1000 volumes includes history, biography, and records, as well as bound copies of such early periodicals as Acta et Dicta, U.S. Catholic Historical Magazine, and American Catholic Historical Researches. Msgr. Code's interest in book collecting dates back to his student days at Oxford, Paris, and Louvaine; but his special interest in Catholic Americana was developed during his teaching career at the Catholic University of America.
